The 39th annual Houston County Young Farmers Livestock Show will be Friday and Saturday at the Georgia National Fairgrounds and Agricenter in Perry. The cattle show begins at 6 p.m. Friday, and the hog show begins at 9 a.m. Saturday.
The show is an opportunity for more than 200 young people from across Houston County to exhibit the livestock they have spent hours working, feeding and preparing, according to a news release.
Additionally, an old timers showmanship will be held Friday evening for the cattle and Saturday for the hogs. A pee-wee showmanship will be hosted 9 a.m. Saturday. A silent auction will be offered on both days of the show.
