Published: February 14, 2013

The 39th annual Houston County Young Farmers Livestock Show will be Friday and Saturday at the Georgia National Fairgrounds and Agricenter in Perry. The cattle show begins at 6 p.m. Friday, and the hog show begins at 9 a.m. Saturday.

The show is an opportunity for more than 200 young people from across Houston County to exhibit the livestock they have spent hours working, feeding and preparing, according to a news release.

Additionally, an “old timers” showmanship will be held Friday evening for the cattle and Saturday for the hogs. A “pee-wee” showmanship will be hosted 9 a.m. Saturday. A silent auction will be offered on both days of the show.
