Monroe County deputies charged a Marietta woman with trafficking cocaine Friday during a traffic stop near mile marker 191 on Interstate 75, according to a Tuesday news release.

Stacey Link, 40, of Marietta, was stopped for an improper tag display infraction. Link gave permission for deputies to search her Lincoln Towncar. The sheriff’s office drug dog detected drugs in the vehicle, and deputies found 1.3 pounds of powdered cocaine near the windshield wiper mechanisms and under the dash.

Link also was charged with following too closely and obscuring a tag frame. She is being held in the Monroe County jail without bond.
