Police: Two robbed at gunpoint behind shopping center

Published: February 6, 2013

A 27-year-old Macon man said he and a friend were walking behind the Westgate shopping center Tuesday evening when three guys stepped around the corner of a building, robbed them and fired gunshots into the air.

The black-masked, pistol-brandishing bandits said, “Give it up!” according to a police report of the 6 p.m. incident.

The victims forked over a pair of cell phones and $18 cash. The gunmen fired two shots as the victims fled toward the rear of Burlington Coat Factory.
