Jeremiah Cotton likes the structure of the environment he has been in during his time as a student at Mount de Sales.

He feels like he will be in the same setting after signing Wednesday with The Citadel.

“The Citadel has a great academic program, a great coaching staff,” Cotton said. “The athletic directory is just phenomenal. All the athletes are just as one unit, a family. I feel like I can shine and be myself there and enjoy myself as a person and a player.

“My school prepared me well in getting used to this structure and the system. My Mount de Sales career and going to The Citadel where the system is kind of mirrors the same way; I feel I can strive and excel there, as well.”

Cotton said he hasn’t heard if he will redshirt, but he knows he will play on the offensive line with the Bulldogs.
