Former Arkansas governor and 2008 presidential candidate Mike Huckabee will speak in April at an anti-abortion fundraiser in Macon.
The event is scheduled for April 11, said Christina Middleton, director of Caring Solutions Pregnancy Center.
Huckabee will be challenging local residents to care for women with unplanned pregnancies, to love these women well in the middle of a very difficult situation in their life, she said.
At the end of the speech and banquet there will be an appeal for donations, Middleton said.
Tickets for the 7 p.m. event at the City Auditorium are $25 and can be purchased at friendsofcaringsolutions.com, she said.
The public is welcome, but Caring Solutions several thousand regular supporters in Middle Georgia are receiving mailed invitations, Middleton said.
Huckabee, a Southern Baptist minister, was a presidential candidate in the 2008 Republican primary. He now hosts a Fox News talk show.
