Critically acclaimed author Douglas Blackmon will be at Wesleyan College in Macon on Thursday to discuss his Pulitzer-prize winning book, Slavery By Another Name: The Re-enslavement of Black People in America from the Civil War to World War II.
Blackmon will discuss the book beginning at 11:15 a.m. in Porter Auditorium. On Wednesday, the college will host a screening of Blackmons PBS documentary by the same name in the Peyton Anderson Amphitheater in Taylor Hall. Both events are free and open to the public, according to a news release.
