Laurens County deputies have three people in custody who will be charged in connection with the Tuesday shooting death of an East Dublin man whose body was discovered on Wayne Road between Dudley and Montrose.

Deputies have arrested Laurens County residents Justin Jones and Teyana Whitfield, both 17, and 21-year-old Damien Payne, who also is known as Damien Williams, said sheriff’s Capt. Stan Wright.

Investigators will meet with prosecutors to determine what charges should be filed, he said.

A motorist discovered 22-year old Darren Eugene Taylor Jr.’s body while driving between 10 p.m. and 11 p.m. Tuesday.
