Midstate may get hard freeze Saturday

Published: January 31, 2013

Macon’s blooming Japanese magnolias could suffer a killing freeze Saturday morning as temperatures are forecast to dip into the low-20s in Middle Georgia.

Many flowers and blooming shrubs are in jeopardy with an influx of much colder air.

North Georgia might see a dusting of snow and icy roads early Friday with another bout of wintry weather possible early Sunday, but no accumulation is expected.
