Denyke Trayvon Glenn, 17, is charged with aggravated assault and criminal street gang activity in Monday’s shooting at Memorial Park Recreation Center.

Macon police arrested a 17-year-old late Wednesday and charged him in Monday night’s shooting at Memorial Park Recreation Center.

Denyke Glenn was arrested at about 10 p.m. Wednesday and booked into the Bibb County jail on charges of aggravated assault and criminal street gang activity.

When officers arrived at the gym just after 8 p.m. Monday, a 16-year-old who had been playing basketball had been shot in the back of the leg.

Witnesses said two men jumped the victim after one of the alleged shooters didn’t like the colors the victim was wearing.

They heard two or three shots, and the gunman ran down Second Street toward Giles Street.

Investigators found the shell casings of a .25-caliber handgun.
