Smoke was reportedly streaming out of the Frito Lay plant in Kathleen shortly before 9 p.m. Tuesday.

But the oven fire burned itself out, with Houston County firefighters on scene as a precaution, Houston County Fire Chief Jimmy Williams said.

Firefighters were on scene for about 60 minutes at the factory at 1200 Ga. 247 South, Williams said.

No one was hurt, but an ambulance also stood by as a precaution, a 911 operator said.
