Nearly five years after Gwendolyn Cole was fatally shot inside her east Macon home, two men accused in the killing have been indicted.
On Tuesday, Bibb County grand jurors indicted Marlon S. Jackson, 33, and Benjamin L. Finney, 35, in Coles Feb. 4, 2008, slaying. Both men area charged with murder, aggravated assault and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, according to the indictment.
Finney additionally is charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. He was convicted on a federal cocaine possession charge in 1998, according to the indictment, filed in Bibb County Superior Court.
Cole, 55, was shot multiple times after answering the door of her Bradstone Circle home. Authorities have estimated more than 70 rounds were fired into the house from a semi-automatic assault rifle.
Jackson and Finney were arrested in October 2012.
