Macon police arrested two men in connection with a Tuesday armed robbery at the Nu-Way Weiners at 5572 Bloomfield Road, according to a police news release.

Officers were dispatched to the restaurant shortly after 10:30 a.m. Tuesday after a masked suspect robbed the business at gunpoint, according to the release. After demanding money from store employees, who complied, the robber fled the store with an undisclosed amount of cash.

A search of the area led officers to an Anderson Drive house, which is located behind the business. Officers made contact with three individuals inside the house and they were taken to the Detective Bureau for questioning, according to the release. A search warrant was obtained and executed on the residence and three more individuals were found hiding in the house, including one in a floor vent. Additionally, a black ski mask, gloves, a gun and a large sum of cash were recovered.

After questioning, police charged Joseph Jordan, 21, and Christopher Collins, 24, with armed robbery. Jordan also had a State Court Probation Violation. The other individuals were released when it was determined they were not involved in the incident.
