Macon police responded to an aggravated assault call Friday in which a person had been shot in the thigh the day before.

According to a police report, officers were sent to a residence on Cresthill Drive where the victim was being treated by EMS personnel. The report said the victim was walking with friends the night before when a black Honda Accord drove up to them. The passenger in the vehicle started to shout at the victim and his friends. As the group started to walk away, they heard gunshots and the victim was struck in the back of the thigh.

Family members convinced the victim to call police and EMS. The victim was taken to The Medical Center of Central Georgia with a wound that isn’t life-threatening.
