PERRY -- Several people were arrested and about $7,900 in cash, 5 ounces of marijuana and some narcotics were seized in a traffic stop Sunday by Perry police.
Perry police Cpl. Jeff Keenom stopped the southbound Ford Econoline passenger van on Interstate 75 for a window tint violation, and officers smelled marijuana inside the vehicle, a Perry police news release stated. Police found the cash and drugs during a subsequent search of the van.
All those arrested were charged with possession of marijuana with intent to sale and possession of narcotics. Those arrested included Lorne W. Gordon, 45, of Pembroke Pines, Fla.; Keith Blair, 35, of Miami, Fla.; Howard Smith, 36, of Orlando, Fla.; Dave Richards, 31, of Miami, Fla.; Duwayne R. Hoilett Sr., 46, of Southwest Vero Beach, Fla.; Fitz Livermore, 50, of May Pen, Jamaica; Fabian Anthony Smith, 45, of Mandeville, Jamaica; Jason Anthony Garcia, 26, of Coral Springs, Fla.; and Omar William Glenn, 26, of Coconut Creek, Fla. Glenn was also cited for a window tint violation.
All of those arrested were being held Monday at the Houston County jail.
