A 37-year-old Macon man was pistol-whipped Thursday morning during a robbery at the intersection of Houston and Heard avenues, according to a Macon police report.
The man told police four men asked him for a cigarette between midnight and 12:15 a.m.
One of the men pulled a black mask over his face and displayed a gun. The two tussled after the gunman took the mans wallet and the masked man struck the 37-year-old mans face with the butt of the gun three times, according to the report that was released Friday.
The group took the mans cell phone and money before leaving, headed east on Villa Crest Avenue, according to the report.
