Published: January 25, 2013

A Macon cab driver was robbed at gunpoint early Friday morning near the intersection of Pine Forest Road and Bloomfield Drive, according to Macon police.

A Yellow Cab driver told police he was dispatched to Wilshire Woods Apartments on Rocky Creek Road at about 12:30 a.m., and he picked up a male passenger. While he drove, the passenger put a gun in his face and demanded money, the keys to the car and the driver’s cell phone, according to a police report released Friday.

The driver gave the gunman the items and the gunman ran, headed west on Pine Forest Road, according to the report.

The gunman was last seen wearing a blue jumpsuit and black wool hood. He is described as a 6-foot tall black man who weighs about 180 pounds, according to the report.
