Actress Stole to host ‘Hairspray’ screening at MAGA

Mink Stole, an actress who has appeared in several films directed by John Waters, will host a special screening of the 1988 movie “Hairspray” at Cox Capitol Theatre, 382 Second St., on Feb. 16 during the Macon Film Festival.

Tickets for the event are $15, or free with the purchase of a festival pass ($50) or all-access pass ($100).

Stole also will hold a free filmmaking workshop Feb. 17 at 1 p.m. at the 567 Center for Renewal, 533 Cherry St.

Stole starred in Waters’ films such as “Pink Flamingos,” “Female Trouble,” “Desperate Living” and “Serial Mom.”
