Bibb County drug investigators arrested six people on marijuana trafficking charges during two different busts Thursday morning.
According to news releases from the sheriffs office, investigators seized 20 pounds -- about $60,000 worth -- of marijuana in two different rooms at the Super 8 Motel on Chambers Road at about 1:30 a.m.
Those arrested were: Elijah Powell III, 39, of Macon; Touche Jerod Parker, 33, of Macon; Octavioua Evette Young, 37, of Macon; and Jasper Denzell Davis, 20, of Atlanta, all on marijuana trafficking charges. Parker also has been charged with a State Court probation violation. All are being held at the Bibb County jail.
Also Thursday morning, investigators arrested two people on charges related to selling marijuana out of two different houses in the 1100 block of Boulevard Avenue.
Investigators seized about 1 1/2 pounds of marijuana, with a street value of $4,000, and a semiautomatic handgun.
Those arrested were: Jackie De-Wayne Rouse, 33, of Macon, charged with marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, and State Court probation violation; and Reginald Lamar Emory, 30, of Macon, charged with marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, and violation of a suspended sentence.
Both men are being held in the Bibb County jail.
