Parts of midstate could see freezing rain

Officials with the National Weather Service in Peachtree City are expecting freezing rain to hit parts of the midstate and north Georgia late Thursday night and early Friday morning.

The weather service said there’s a possibility the freezing rain may hit parts of Macon, but it wasn’t certain as of late Wednesday. Most of the bad weather is expected to hit near Atlanta and parts of north Georgia.

Officials also said freezing rain is more likely to affect power lines rather than cause hazardous road conditions.
