The Georgia House reset its committee memberships with the start of the new session.
State Rep. Allen Peake, R-Macon, will take over the vice chairmanship of the Ways and Means Committee, which is in charge of vetting tax bills. He continues on Appropriations, which is in charge of spending, and Rules, which decides if bills get a full floor vote.
Among the assignments for state Rep. James Beverly, D-Macon, are Health and Human Services, Retirement, and Small Business Development.
State Rep. Robert Dickey, R-Musella, will serve as secretary for Agriculture and Consumer Affairs, and he will join Appropriations, among other jobs.
Bubber Epps, the Republican representative from Dry Branch, got a promotion within Appropriations to vice chairman. Hes also vice chair of Motor Vehicles, plus several other assignments.
State Rep. Nikki Randall, D-Macon, continues on Health and Human Services, Information and Audits and Judiciary Non-Civil.
