Suspects surrender after stolen credit card used at Macon store

A little more than five hours after Macon police released surveillance images of a stolen credit card being used at a local store, two women turned themselves in Jan. 15. Avesia Denae Jones, 18, and 20 year-old Tiawana Rakeema Mason, both of Macon, are each charged with financial transaction card fraud and financial transaction card theft, according to a news release from the Macon Police Department. Cameras captured the women using the stolen credit card at the Mini Foods at 3224 Vineville Ave. on Nov. 29.

Avesia Denae Jones, 18, and 20 year-old Tiawana Rakeema Mason, both of Macon, are each charged with financial transaction card fraud and financial transaction card theft, according to a news release from the Macon Police Department.

Cameras captured the women using the stolen credit card at the Mini Foods at 3224 Vineville Ave. on Nov. 29.

Both were released from the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center early Wednesday morning.
