Elton John returns to the Macon Coliseum for the first time in more than 12 years with a concert at 8 p.m. March 20. The show will feature No. 1 chart hits and classic album tracks from his five-decade career, including Your Song, Rocket Man, Bennie and the Jets, Philadelphia Freedom, Crocodile Rock and Dont Let the Sun Go Down on Me.
Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Jan. 19.
Elton Johns band includes Davey Johnstone on guitar, John Mahon on percussion, Nigel Olsson on drums, Kim Bullard on keyboards, and on bass Matt Bissonette.
The Macon Centreplex, and the city of Macon are absolutely thrilled after more than 12 years to have Elton John back in our building, said Macon Centreplex Marketing Manager Brenda Thompson in a release. Elton Johns last show here in 2000 was absolutely one of the best concerts ever held in our building.
Ticket prices are $39, $79 and $139 and can be purchased at the Coliseum box office.
