Shooting suspect turns himself in to Macon police

A Macon man wanted on multiple aggravated assault charges surrendered to Macon police Thursday afternoon.

Roderick Lofton surrendered to Macon police at 3 p.m. without incident, according to a police news release. He is being charged with six counts of aggravated assault and one count of criminal gang activity.

Lofton was being sought by police for a shooting incident that took place Saturday afternoon in the 3400 block of Morgan Drive. Shots were fired at a juvenile girl at the residence, but she wasn’t struck.
