Bibb coroner: Infant girl died of multiple blunt force trauma

Published: January 9, 2013

Bibb County Coroner Leon Jones said Wednesday that autopsy results for a 1-year-old infant girl who died in November showed she was killed by multiple blunt force trauma.

Breazia Davis, 1, who lived in an apartment in the 1400 block of Forest Hill Road, was pronounced dead Nov. 8, 2012, after she was found unconscious and taken to the hospital.

The infant’s stepmother, Amanda Denise Davis, 36, initially was charged with child cruelty in the case, but the charge was later upgraded to felony murder. The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office also charged the infant’s father, Antwon Dorez Davis, 21, with murder and probation violation.

Both suspects have remained in the Bibb County jail.
