A 32-year-old Macon man was charged with attempted armed robbery Saturday after he allegedly attempted a heist at The Corner Food Mart, 3508 Log Cabin Drive, according to Macon police.
A clerk and a man wearing a ski mask got into a brief struggle outside the store about 8:30 a.m., and the masked man ran, carrying a gun, according to a police report released Monday.
A man at the store told police he recognized the masked man. Police arrested Derrick Howard at his Napier Avenue home, according to the report.
Howard is being held at the Bibb County jail without bond, according to jail records.
