Warner Robins man sentenced to 25 years for child molestation

WARNER ROBINS -- A 39-year-old Warner Robins man was sentenced Monday to 25 years in prison without the possibility of parole for aggravated child molestation.

Billy Joe Lane was sentenced in Houston County Superior Court after pleading guilty to taking an underage girl to a Warner Robins motel room June 12, 2011, giving her alcohol and raping her, according to a District Attorney’s Office news release.

After prison, Lane will be on sex offender probation for life and may not have any contact with the victim, the release stated.

Lane fled the state after the incident and was arrested in Maryland during a traffic stop, the release stated.
