Macon police are investigating an armed robbery Sunday night at a downtown convenience store.

At about 8 p.m., two masked men held up the Flash Foods at 1194 Forsyth St. on the corner of College Street, according to a news release from the Macon Police Department.

One of the robbers was wearing black clothing and the other suspect, who had a gun, was wearing a white hooded shirt and khaki pants, the release stated.

After the clerk removed money from one cash register, one of the robbers said it wasn’t enough and demanded more from the second register, according to the police report.

The robbers ran away with an undisclosed amount of money and headed toward College Street.
