Motorists in Warner Robins should avoid the intersection of Elberta Road and King Street this morning as Flint Energies works to repair two broken power poles.

Flint spokesman Jimmy Autry said the top of a pole broke off and fell into the road at about 9 a.m., then a passing car struck it and the attached wires broke a second pole.

Autry said police are detouring traffic around the intersection. He expects it to be cleared by 11:30 a.m.
