Macon’s Wedding Ring Bridal Show offers ideas, services for brides to be

Published: January 4, 2013

Every year, Macon’s Wedding Ring brings together a group of highly trained wedding professionals in one spot, letting brides (and grooms!) find services and get ideas in one convenient area.

This year’s bridal show, conveniently scheduled before wedding season kicks off properly, will take place at the Blacksmith Shop on Sunday and will give happy couples three hours to enjoy “a day full of fun, food, music, prizes and a chance to meet some of the best wedding professionals in Middle Georgia.”

Macon’s Wedding Ring members commit themselves to providing the highest quality of services and items in the industry and to making every bride’s dreams come true. Neal Carpenter, the group’s president, said on their website that their members “go above and beyond to ensure a bride has the wedding she envisioned. There is no end to their generosity. I am proud to call these people my colleagues as well as my friends.”

Carpenter listed the group’s accomplishments with pride.

“Many (members) have been published on wedding blogs and in national magazines, including Southern Living. There are award winning photographers and videographers. We have members who commonly speak to industry groups. Others have been voted to the Best of Weddings by their customers in The Knot. There are even vendors that have worked on movie sets as well as celebrity weddings. These are but a few of our accomplishments.”

Every bride at the wedding show will be entered into a drawing for a chance to compete against three other brides in a game of wedding trivia, with the winner being awarded a set of his and her mini iPads.

The event venue, the Blacksmith Shop, originally was constructed in 1890 as the W.H. Schatzman Blacksmith Shop and Carriage Facility. Although the facility served a variety of purposes during the years, including as a parking deck, today it stands as a fully renovated and landscaped structure that serves as an event space for a variety of celebrations -- including weddings.

All of MWR’s members work together to make each wedding as seamless as possible.

“We coordinate our work and services so that you don’t have to worry,” Carpenter said on the website. “We are all experienced professionals committed to providing you with the best products and services. We really know what goes on behind the scenes at the wedding. Make it easy on yourself. We have assembled some of the best of the best wedding professionals in one place! Come out and see for yourself.”

In short, Macon Wedding Ring’s Bridal Show offers happy couples the chance to find everything they need for the big day, whether it be something old, something new, something borrowed or something blue.

“I’m thrilled that you found us,” Carpenter said, “and I hope that our members help to create the wedding of your dreams.”
