A Knight Neighborhood Challenge grant will help Macon and Bibb County develop a public arts program.

Working with public arts consultant Cesar Trasobares, a public art committee has been established and will develop a site inventory of possible locations for public art in Macon, and a public art ordinance for the city and county to consider in order to accommodate future public art projects.

The Community Foundation of Central Georgia wants to receive proposals through the Knight Neighborhood Challenge program from artists and arts organizations to do public art projects in the College Hill Corridor, which will serve as a pilot program for public art in Macon.
