A 63-year-old man was robbed at gunpoint in his Riley Avenue apartment Wednesday afternoon, according to Macon police.

The man told police he walked inside after smoking a cigarette and closed the door, but didn’t lock it at about 10 a.m. Seconds later, a man with a gun came inside and took $560 from a money bag atop a table. He also took a laundry bag of clean clothes, according to a police report released Thursday.

The gunman was last seen wearing a gray hooded jumpsuit, according to the report.
