Chamber announces parade float winners
The Robins Regional Chamber of Commerce has announced the float winners of its Christmas parade, held Dec. 1.
According to a news release, the winners are: Best Religious Float, Lighthouse Baptist Church; Best Business Float, Happy Hour Recycling Center; Best Small Business Float, Buzzell Plumbing, Heating and Cooling; Best Civic Float, Rebuilding Together Warner Robins; Best Miscellaneous Float, David A. Perdue Prancing Pandas; and Best Marching Unit, Nola Brantley Memorial Library. The Grand Marshal Award went to West Plumbing for their portrayal of Nine Pipers Piping.
The Civitan Club of Warner Robins judged the floats, except for the Grand Marshal Award, which was judged by the chambers parade committee. Judging was based on originality, costuming, adherence to the parades theme -- The 12 Days of Christmas -- and overall appearance.
