Macon home damaged by gunfire early Christmas morning

A house in the 400 block of Cynthia Avenue was damaged by gunfire early Christmas morning, according to Macon police.

A resident of the house told police he was in bed about 3:20 a.m. when he heard gunfire. Accustomed to hearing gunshots, he went back to sleep, according to a police report released Monday.

When the man awoke, he noticed bullet holes in the house and found five shell casings, according to the report.
