Published: December 31, 2012

A 47-year-old Macon man was robbed at gunpoint early Monday morning while leaving a party in the 1900 block of Cedar Avenue, according to Macon police.

The man told police he was getting into a car at about 3 a.m. when four men with T-shirts covering their faces approached him and demanded money. One of the masked men fired a handgun beside the man’s head, according to a police report released Monday.

The man tried to run away, but the masked men caught him. They struck him with the gun, kicked him and punched him before taking $300 from the man’s back pants pocket, according to the report.
