Published: December 27, 2012

Two northbound lanes of Interstate 75 north have opened, but one remain closed, after tractor trailers collided on Interstate 75 early Thursday morning in Spalding County.

The Georgia State Patrol is investigating the accident that happened after 5 a.m.

As of about 11:30 a.m., the Georgia Department of Transportation estimated it would be 12:30 p.m. before the interstate is fully cleared and traffic is moving normally again near mile marker 207, which is just north of Butts County’s stretch on interstate.
