A 38-year-old Macon woman is in custody after a Wednesday shooting that wounded her husband.

Sharon Brooks Browner, of 4500 Clover Place, is charged with aggravated assault family violence after 44-year-old Melton Browner was shot in the shoulder about 3 p.m. at their home, according to a news release from the Macon Police Department.

The husband told investigators the couple was arguing before Sharon Browner shot him.

She was captured and arrested about 3:30 p.m. on Eisenhower Parkway, according to the release.
