Macon man has gambling winnings stolen

Published: December 26, 2012

Macon police are investigating an armed robbery that took place Saturday at the corner of Log Cabin Drive and Mercer University Drive, a police report said.

According to the report, the victim had just won $1,200 playing a gambling machine at a nearby store. As he was walking home, four or five men jumped him. One of the men put his hand in his pocket as if he had a gun and told him they knew he had won on the machine and demanded his money. The men took the victim’s wallet and money, then fled the scene.
