Georgia accidents claimed 17 lives over the Christmas travel period from 6 p.m. Friday to midnight Tuesday.
No fatalities were reported in Middle Georgia during that time, according to preliminary figures released on the Georgia State Patrol’s website.
Troopers were investigating a fatal accident early Wednesday morning on Interstate 20 near mile marker 136 in Greene County.
