Dense fog advisory issued for Middle Georgia

The National Weather Service has issued a dense fog advisory in effect until 9 a.m. Tuesday from north Georgia to the western section of Middle Georgia.

Residual moisture from Monday's rain produced dense fog by night fall Monday, with visibilities down to less than a quarter mile.

The fog is expected to burn off Christmas morning before the threat of severe weather moves in early Wednesday.
