Wilcox County quarterback Makail Grace was named the Region 2-A Player of the Year after leading the Patriots to the Class A public school semifinals.

Grace’s go-to target Johnathan Howard was named the Offensive Player of the Year after breaking the state record for single-season receptions. Howard also broke the Middle Georgia record for receiving yards with more than 1,600.

Telfair County’s talented two-way player Abraham Freeman was selected as the defensive player of the year.
