CENTERVILLE -- An armed robbery in the parking lot of the Subway at 100 Houston Lake Road Thursday afternoon was reported to police.

A young couple told police that they were robbed in the parking at 4 p.m. by a man with a pistol, said Centerville police Capt. Roger Hayes.

The boyfriend told police his iPhone was stolen, Hayes said. The couple came to the Centerville police station to report the incident at 5:45 p.m.

The couple was not able to give police a detailed description of the suspect, who fled on foot, Hayes said.

Police are pulling surveillance videos from stores in the shopping center that houses the Subway, he said.
