Alan Walden and Chris Hicks Present Southern Style Christmas Jam at the Cox Capitol Theatre

What happens when two of the most revered men in Macon music get together to throw a party? Well, they throw one of the biggest parties of the year! Alan Walden is the former manager of Otis Redding and Lynyrd Skynyrd, as well as other great musical accomplishments. Chris Hicks is known for his work with the Outlaws and as the lead guitar player with the Marshall Tucker Band. They invited a slew of musicians, singers and entertainers, which include Larry G. Hudson, Moses Mo, Leroy Wilson and many others, for a night of great music. This event will benefit Pine Point Hospice Home of Middle Georgia. 8 p.m. $25.

Shane Bridges at the Hummingbird Stage and Taproom

Shane Bridges grew up in Jeffersonville. He found his love of music when most people do, in his teens. He’s been playing music ever since. Even though he’s been recording music in Nashville and touring all over the United States, he still considers Middle Georgia home. He still stops in to do a show and see his old friends and have a good time. This time, he brings the Shane Bridges sound to the Hummingbird. 21 and up. 10 p.m. $5.

Macon Noise Presents Xavii and Moontrash at Roasted Cafe and Lounge

Macon Noise put together a party with a line up full of Macon’s experimental rock bands. Their thinking was, “If the world just so happens to end, let’s go out big!” Well, actually their thought was, “Let’s raise some money so we can put out a great compilation of Macon music.” While admission is free, they will be accepting donations. Macon Noise has invited Xavii, Moontrash, Ariaquanet, Hussy Hussy and more to help make this compilation happen. My money is on the fact that the world will keep right on spinning, so I’ll be looking forward to the next Macon Noise compilation. 18 and up. 8:30 p.m. Free, but donations accepted.
