Whats open, whats not for Christmas
Banks: American Pride Bank, Ameris Bank, Colony Bank, and State Bank & Trust are closing at noon Monday and closed Tuesday. BB&T, Capital City Bank, CertusBank, SunTrust Bank and Wells Fargo are closing at 2 p.m. Monday and closed Tuesday. MidSouth Federal Credit Union, Robins Federal Credit Union, are closing at 1 p.m. Monday and closed Tuesday. SunMark Community Bank is closing at noon Monday and is closed Tuesday and Wednesday. Bank of America, CB&T Bank of Middle Georgia are closed Tuesday.
Government offices: Offices for the cities of Byron, Centerville, Forsyth, Gray, Macon, Roberta and Warner Robins as well as offices for Bibb, Crawford, Houston, Jones, Peach, Twiggs counties will be closed Monday and Tuesday. Offices for the cities of Fort Valley and Jeffersonville and for Monroe County will be closed Monday-Wednesday. The Department of Family and Children Services and the Labor Department will be closed Monday and Tuesday. State courts will be closed Monday and Tuesday and federal courts will be closed Tuesday.
Mail delivery: No delivery Tuesday. Offices at Mulberry Street, Riverside Drive and Pio Nono Avenue will close at noon Monday and the main post office will close at 2 p.m. Monday.
Garbage: Garbage routes in the cities of Byron, Centerville, Fort Valley, Perry and Warner Robins as well as Bibb, Crawford, Houston and Peach counties will not run Tuesday and will run one day behind through Saturday. Garbage routes in Macon will not run Tuesday and will run one day behind through Friday.
Libraries: Libraries in Houston County will be closed Monday and Tuesday. Libraries in Peach County will be closed Monday-Wednesday. The Middle Georgia Regional Library and branches will be closed Saturday-Tuesday.
Grocery stores: Kroger will be closed Tuesday and Publix will close at 7 p.m. Monday and closed Tuesday.
