Robins Federal donates to charity

Robins Federal Credit Union has donated $3,000 to the Ronald McDonald House’s 365 Day Society.

Volunteers also helped at the house for two days. They reorganized the pantry and kitchen, dusted, vacuumed, repaired wallpaper and installed new appliances.

A contribution of $1,000 to the 365 Day Society covers the operating cost of the home for one day, according to a news release.

Ronald McDonald House helps families with critically ill or injured children being treated in local medical facilities.

Race proceeds help ‘right to life’ groups

The Knights of Columbus Council 4371 in Warner Robins distributed $6,100 in proceeds from its third annual Right to Life 5K Run/Walk held in October.

Funds were given to nonprofit Right to Life organizations in Houston County and other Msgr. Felix Donnelly Council charities. There were 204 race participants.
