Connect2Compete deadline extended to Dec. 31

The deadline to register for the Connect2Compete program has been extended to Dec. 31, according to a news release.

Through the program, eligible Bibb County school students can get home access to the Internet for $9.95 per month, before tax. Families might also qualify for a refurbished desktop or laptop computer for $150.

Families with at least one child in the free lunch program qualify at the following Bibb County schools: Appling, Ballard-Hudson, Barden, Bernd, Bloomfield Middle, Brookdale, Bruce, Burdell-Hunt, Burghard, Hartley, Ingram-Pye, Jones, King-Danforth, Morgan, Northeast High, Rice, Riley, Southwest High, Union, Weaver or Williams.
