Officers were called about 7 p.m. to an armed robbery at 3061 Montpelier Ave., where the men started shooting at the first investigators on the scene, according to a Macon police news release.

The detectives shot back and chased after the men, catching two of them.

Antaveyo Clark, 22, and 27 year-old Jarvis Childs were charged with two counts of criminal attempt to commit murder and seven counts of armed robbery, the release stated.

Clark has been arrested eight other times since 2008 and was most recently released from jail in May.

Child has been arrested 16 times since 2002 and was released from jail Oct. 1.
