Macon man dies in Warner Robins wreck

WARNER ROBINS - A man involved in a wreck in Warner Robins on Saturday has died, according to police.

The accident happened on Russell Parkway at 2:14 p.m., according to a Warner Robins Police Department release.

Emmett Rigby, 62, of Macon, driving a 2004 Ford Ranger, was attempting to turn left onto Russell when he collided with a 2006 Chevrolet Tahoe driven by Kierstin Colbert, according to the release. Colbert, 28, of Warner Robins, was traveling westbound.

Rigby and a passenger, Mary Rigby, 62, of Macon, were thrown from the vehicle. Both were taken The Medical Center of Central Georgia, where Emmett Rigby died later Saturday evening. Mary Rigby is in critical condition. Colbert was also taken to the Medical Center and is in stable condition.

The accident is under investigation. Anyone with information about the accident is asked to call investigator Tim Pippio at 929-1170.
