A 15-year-old male died Friday when he was struck by a vehicle.

According to a Bibb County Sheriff’s Department release, the accident happened on Ga. 247 near Walden Road, which is just north of the Middle Georgia Regional Airport.

Bibb County Coroner Leon Jones identified the victim as Jose Bravo, who lived near where he was struck. The case remains under investigation but Jones said he does not expect the driver will be charged.

Jones said Bravo suffered multiple injuries. He was taken to The Medical Center of Central Georgia and pronounced dead at 8:53 p.m.
