Officials break ground on Dollar General Market Store
Officials broke ground Nov. 6 on a Dollar General Market Store to be built at the intersection of East Church Street and Camellia Boulevard in downtown Fort Valley. The store, which will offer groceries, fresh produce and general merchandise, will be about 20,000 square feet and employ 25 to 35 full-time employees, according to a news release. The store is expected to have a big impact on real estate and sales taxes for the city, county and school district, the release states. It also is expected to increase shopping traffic downtown.
