Teen shot in cheek in Warner Robins

A 19-year-old was shot in the cheek Wednesday afternoon in Warner Robins, according to police spokeswoman Tabitha Pugh.

Investigators are looking for the person responsible for the shooting, which occurred shortly before 4 p.m. in the 600 block of McArthur Boulevard. The victim was taken to The Medical Center of Central Georgia in Macon and is in stable condition, Pugh said.

A detective was interviewing the victim Wednesday evening. Additional information, including a description of the suspect, was not immediately available, Pugh said.

“It’s still way too early,” she said.

Anyone with information about the shooting is urged to contact 911. Tips may be submitted anonymously by texting the tip to 274637 and including keyword WRPD in the body of the text.
